Bokar Rinpoche

The Most Venerable Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche, lineage Master of both the Shangpa and the Karma Kagyü, was born in Tibet, in 1940 (Iron Dragon Year) to a family of nomadic herders.
When Rinpoche was four years old, he was recognized as the rebirth of the previous Bokar Tülku, Karma Shérab Ösel, and he was named Karma Shedrub Yongdu Pel Zangpo by His Holiness 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyüpa school.

Vajradhara Kalu Rinpoché was born in 1905 in Horkok valley (Kham province, eastern Tibet). His father, the thirteenth incarnation of Ratak Palsang Tülku was an accomplished Yogi and famous Doctor. His mother Drölkar devoted to Dharma from an early age completed one hundred million recitations of the Vajra Guru mantra, two hundred million Mani’s, and one hundred million Vajrasattva mantras.
